Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of RightBands (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
RightBands provides IELTS practice tests and AI-generated feedback and estimated band scores. The AI estimates are for study guidance only. They are not official IELTS scores and do not predict or guarantee your result in a real exam.
RightBands is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the official IELTS test owners (IDP, the British Council, or Cambridge University Press & Assessment). “IELTS” is used only to describe the exam our materials help you prepare for.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login details secure. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. One account per person; accounts are personal to you and may not be shared or resold.
3. Subscriptions, billing & auto-renewal
- Paid plans are offered as a monthly plan and a 6-month plan. The current prices are shown on the pricing page and are charged in advance for each billing period.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, and your payment method is charged, until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. When you cancel, your subscription stops renewing and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- We may change prices or plan features. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of a price increase by email or in-app notice, and any change takes effect from your next renewal — it will not affect a billing period you have already paid for.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
4. Refunds
Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to copy, scrape, redistribute, resell, or publicly share the test content or model answers; not to share your account; and not to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
6. Intellectual property
All test content, model answers, software, and other materials in the Service are owned by RightBands or its licensors and are provided for your personal, non-commercial study use only. You retain ownership of the writing and speaking responses you submit, and you grant us the limited right to process them to provide the Service (see our Privacy Policy).
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that AI estimates are accurate or that using the Service will achieve any particular exam result.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RightBands will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or CAD $50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your rights under consumer protection legislation.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada, except where applicable consumer protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
